Horror as plane crashes into building near airport

A small aeroplane crashed through the roof of a building near an airport in Southern California, killing two people and injuring a dozen others.

The aeroplane went through a commercial building on the 2300 block of West Raymer Avenue in the city of Fullerton shortly after 2pm on Thursday, police said.

It was not immediately clear whether the two people who died were aboard the aeroplane or inside the building, said Fullerton police spokeswoman Kristy Wells.

Nine people were transported to local hospitals, and six were treated at the scene and released. The victims’ conditions were not known.
